Dr Paul McCormick
Dr Paul McCormick was the principal GP of Dundrum Family Practice alongside his wife Blaithin who was the practice nurse until recently. Dr Paul McCormick and Blaithin were pillars of support for the local community, providing excellent care to all of their patients for almost 25 years.
Dr McCormick was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2024 which led him and Blaithin to make the difficult decision to stop working in the practice.
He has become an ambassador for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. Please follow the link below for further information and to offer support.
About us
Dundrum Family Practice has been serving the community of Dundrum for over 50 years. The practice was originally established by Dr Tom Shaw in the 1960s, and was succeeded by Dr Paul McCormick and his wife, Nurse Blaithin McCormick, who provided excellent care for the local community in Dundrum until recently.
Dr Fiona Barnes, Dr Caoimhe Moffatt and Dr Aoife Melia are continuing the practice in the same ethos of trust, respect and continuity of care.
Over the years, the practice has evolved alongside the needs of our patients. Whether it is for a routine check-up, chronic disease management, or support through life's more challenging health issues, our team is here to provide expert and compassionate care.
